Bali apocalyp trip
As a newcomer to Bali, I experience a compelling paradox: extraordinary beauty alongside tension between local identity and the rapid force of change.
Through “Bali Apocalyp Trip,” I imagine Bali after humanity has lost its power, and nature reclaims what was once taken from it.
By depicting places that have previously been sites of conflict or concern, I present Bali as a space at a crossroads—between preserving its identity and bearing the consequences of continuously imposed change.
This exhibition invites viewers to reflect that an “apocalypse” does not only arrive through catastrophic events like a meteor striking the earth; it can also appear in subtle, intimate forms—close to us, and often accepted as normal.
